Defoamer for the Temperature Range from 40° C and Higher in Beet Sugar Factories (free from Silicone and Mineral Oil)

Application and Properties
Although KEBOSPUM KIS is a surface active agent itself the foaming power is extremely low and the product acts by suppressing the foam when being added to liquids which tend to form foam. Based on its special formulation KEBOSPUM KIS has furthermore the ability to immediately distribute in the medium to be defoamed and to rapidly reach the interfaces being formed displacing the existing foam-forming agents (saponins, proteins, a.s.o.).
KEBOSPUM KIS shows in all liquids a constantly high foam-destructing ability which is independent of the pH-value and kind and concentration of dissolved substances as well as of different retention times in the sugar juice. KEBOSPUM KIS is not steam-volatile.
It can be explained by the mechanism of the processes at the interfaces that special kinds of defoamers can only be most effective at particular temperatures. KEBOSPUM KIS has been formulated for a temperature range from 40° C and higher.

Antifoam for the Flume Water Area in Beet Sugar Factories

Solubility in water: practically non-miscible with water
Solidification point: below - 10° C
Viscosity (mPa•s) at 25° C: approx. 20

Application and Properties
Based on its special formulation KEBOSPUM AS has the ability to immediately distribute in the medium to be defoamed and to rapidly enter the interface being formed. As a consequence already accumulated foam forming agents (saponins, proteins and others) are displaced.
The processes taking place at the interface when foam is being formed show that antifoams of a certain kind can develop their highest efficiency only within a particular range of temperature. KEBOSPUM AS has been formulated for a temperature range from 0 to 30° C:
Therefore, the main application field in the sugar factory is the whole flume water cycle comprising flushing of beets, beet pre-washing, beet transport and beet washing as well as the beet tail transport and preparation.

Antifoam

Application and properties

KEBOSPUM KVI although it itself is a surfactant has extremely low ability to form a foam , and when added to a liquid foaming prone to counteract the formation . KEBOSPUM KVI has a specific property , due to their chemical nature , immediate distribution in the foaming medium near the surface boundary and displacement of the foam -forming substances ( saponin , protein , etc.). KEBOSPUM KVI shows all equally good performance liquid antifoam , regardless of the medium or the pH value in the concentration of dissolved substances and different residence times in the sugar juice . KEBOSPUM KVI does not go into water vapor. KVI KEBOSPUM used at temperatures above 40 ° C.
